Cream morocco, smooth spine, full-length title in mosaic black morocco lettering and two mosaic red morocco fleurons, author's and publisher's names and title mosaic in black and red morocco on upper board, cream morocco inner framing and two red and black morocco listels, brick silk lining and endpapers, silver paper double endpapers, untrimmed, gilt head, cover and spine preserved, chemise, slipcase (Marot-Rodde).
Remarkable typographical edition, printed in an edition of 258 copies; one of 225 on laid paper (no. 36). A genial marginal and precision typographer. A wood engraver and typographer of Catalan origin, Louis Jou (1881-1968) designed his own typefaces.
