Paris, Nyon, 1753, 6 volumes (out of 7) in-12 bound in full contemporary marbled calf, ornate ribbed spines, title and appendices. The first six volumes comprise the Memoirs of Guillaume and Martin Du Bellay, an important document on the diplomatic and military history of the first half of the 16th century. The Journal de Louise de Savoie follows the Mémoires in volume VI, along with an important table of contents and Pièces justificatives. The seventh and last volume, missing here, consists of the Memoirs of the Marechal de Fleuranges, published here for the first time. Cioranescu II, 36300.
