Right: His daughter-in-law:ELISABETH ALEXEIEVNA (1779-1826)Born Princess Louise Augusta of Baden, she was the wife of Alexander Pavlovitch who became Tsar of Russia under the name of Alexander I. Chased and gilt bronze rings mounted on velvet (wear) decorated with three cartouches identifying the models. Provenance: -collection of the late King Umberto II of Italy (1904-1983) Delegated by the sovereign to a member of his family. Paul I (1754-1801)was Emperor of Russia from 1796 until his assassination in 1801. In 1773 he married Wilhelmine-Louise of Hesse-Darmstadt, who died three years later, and Sophie-Dorothée of Württemberg, with whom he had ten children.
